Texas Temporary COVID-19 Rate Increases for Nursing Facilities Effective April 1, 2020

In June 2020, Texas Health and Human Services approved a temporary rate increase of $19.63 per day for Medicaid residents in Texas nursing facilities. Please reference our prior alert for information here.

Like the HHS Provider Relief Payments, Texas providers are required to sign an attestation form for the use of funds. Providers were given until September 30, 2020 to sign the form. Failure to do so will result in funds received from the rate add-on being recouped. In addition, providers who do not attest will not qualify for any potential future rate add-on payments through the remainder of COVID-19.
