Peer Reviews

Every three years, firms that provide audits of financial statements are required by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to undergo a Peer Review.

Your peer review should cover your entire system of quality control and requires a team with the skills, knowledge and experience to evaluate engagements in “must select” areas like employee benefit plan audits, SOC reporting and audits conducted in accordance with Government Auditing Standards as well as the specific industries covered by your audit practice.

It’s often an intense, labor intensive process – but our goal as your independent Peer Review partner will be to ease this burden on your staff. We will help you design a smoother process for information gathering and reporting, a process we have learned during our own peer reviews.

Further, we’ll work with you to make your Peer Review more than a matter of compliance. To us, every audit, every report and every evaluation is a chance to find opportunities for improvement. So even after your review is over, we can work with you to improve your internal quality controls and, in turn, your service to your clients.
