Bill brings nearly 20 years in the long-term care industry and ten years of private sector accounting experience to Mueller Prost. His background includes positions in accounting, cost reporting, reimbursement, and government audits & appeals. His deep understanding and specialization in Medicare and Medicaid cost complexities has assisted many clients in the long-term care industry to not only improve their cost reporting, but also to utilize the cost report data to improve their operations.
Bill worked in the private business sector for ten years before joining a health services organization, serving as a reimbursement specialist. With his experience in reimbursement, he then joined a leading accounting firm where he built a cost reporting practice. In this capacity, he was responsible for all aspects of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, including data gathering and analysis, completion of cost reports, as well as monitoring and working closely with Federal and State Healthcare auditors and assisting in the audit appeals process. He also has experience in leading projects and managing staff to achieve accurate and successful results.
