Matt has over 32 years of extensive experience in all business disciplines in diverse manufacturing industries including food production, agriculture, printing, steel, silicon wafers and commercial refrigeration. Prior to joining Mueller Prost, he served as Chief Financial Officer of a private equity group focused on emerging manufacturing companies in the natural food industry. He was the lead participant in all stages of equity, debt and merger and acquisition transactions. In addition, he led the group’s CFO Services business, providing a unique blend of financial and operational support. The business provided back office support, along with promises to provide areas for margin and cash flow improvements.
At Land O’Lakes Matt played key roles as a Director of Finance and Supply Management in their Egg Products Division. More recently, as an advisor to AGR Partners, he helped create Opal Foods LLC; a joint venture between AGR Partners, Rose Acre Farms and Weaver Brothers, Inc., acquired and formed from Land O’Lakes Midwest Egg-Laying assets.
Matt obtained a graduate certificate in Quality Management from Oklahoma State University, where he also became a member of the American Society of Quality and was certified as a Quality Engineer and QS 9000/ISO 9000 Quality Auditor from 2000-2012. He was a member of the American Egg Boards Good Egg Project Speakers’ Bureau from 2009-2012, where he engaged in various speaking events related to modern egg farming, animal care and the nutritional benefits of eggs. Matt has undergraduate degrees in Finance, Economics and Accounting from the University of Missouri.
