Michael Devereux II, CPA, CMP Tops the National 2015 "40 Under 40" List Featured by CPA Practice Advisor

St. Louis, Missouri (10/6/2014) – Michael Devereux II, self-proclaimed “Tax Geek” and Partner at Mueller Prost LC was recently recognized as a 2015 “40 Under 40” honoree by CPA Practice Advisor.“CPA Practice Advisor’s 40 Under 40 program recognizes professionals who are helping lead the profession into the future,” says the publication.

“It’s really an honor and humbling experience to be recognized,” says Devereux, who credits his professional personality to the work ethic he learned as a teenager working for his father’s CPA firm.“I was exposed to many different things in our profession ten years before most of my peers.I started working for him at the age of 13. This baseline knowledge of business and taxes was critical to my success once I started working at Mueller Prost at the age of 20.”

Devereux serves as Partner and Director of Manufacturing, Distribution and Plastics Industry Services for Mueller Prost.  He has demonstrated leadership and exceptional judgment in the tax structuring of various acquisitions, has led hundreds of Research & Experimentation Tax Credit study engagements, and is lead coordinator for the firm’s special tax incentives program.

Devereux is active in numerous industry trade organizations, most recently being named to the Manufacturers Association for Plastics Processors Board of Directors.He is frequently invited to speak at professional and industry conferences about opportunities to utilize federal and state tax incentives to minimize tax burdens.In addition to his popularity as a guest speaker, he has authored several articles that have been published in various trade publications with nationwide distribution.
